Cumdi was founded in 1979 as a manufacturer of micro-tools, and since 1989 has specialised in the cylindrical grinding of hard metal cylinders, relying on a technical department with over 25 years of experience.
The company's main objective is to operate as an intermediary between hard metal producers and tool manufacturers, to relieve them of the entire preparation phase, which requires major technical and economic investments.
Starting from blank cylinders they perform all grinding, trimming, chamfering, concaving, tapering and reduction operations for the optimal preparation of cylinders for the manufacture of traditional and special tools for various uses.
Our quality
The high quality and constant commitment that the company has applied to the needs of its customers and to technological development allow us to be leading qualified suppliers for customers operating in the high speed tool industry.
High speed tools require the production of small cylinders with precision standards of roundness and concentricity to within one or two thousandths of a millimetre, with circular oscillation playing a critical role.
For this reason, we have always prioritised our commitment to the most advanced technologies and to our own equipment specially produced with the help of our technicians in order to achieve the superior quality that only Cumdi is presently capable of offering. As well as machinery for various machining tasks, we have developed a control tool to speed up and optimize the testing of this quality.

From 1 to 1,000,000 pieces. This is a main motto for Cumdi, which offers specially designed machining on various shapes and within very strict tolerances. Our flexible production allows us to fulfil any request. We do not distinguish large from small customers; for us all customers are important.
